The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.
 
SSI Advanced Open Water Course
You’ll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to:
Underwater navigation
Deeper water diving (typically anywhere from 18-30 metres/ 60-100 feet)
A sampler of three more Adventure Dives of your choice

One reason you’ll love the Advanced Open Water Diver course is that you and your instructor choose from 15 types of Adventure Dives to complete your course. You can try your hand at digital underwater photography, wreck diving, night diving, Computer and multi-level diving, perfect buoyancy, and much more.
 
Get credit!
Each Adventure Dive in the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course may be credited toward the first dive of the corresponding SSI Specialty Diver course.
 
What You Learn
The knowledge and skills you get in the Advanced Open Water Diver course vary with your interest and the adventures you have, but include:
The Scuba Gear You Use
You use all the basic scuba gear, including your underwater compass. Depending on which three adventure dives you pick, you may also try out underwater photography equipment, a dive light, lift bags, a dive computer, a dive flag/float or other specialty gear.
 
The Learning Materials You Need
The MySSI app covers everything you need to know for the course and you can choose to study wherever before going in to the practical part so we can minimise the time spent in the classroom.

**Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours in advance for a partial refund, and more than 24 hours in advance for a full refund. The latest time to cancel is 8:00 PM the day before your dive—cancellations after this time will not be accepted. No-shows or late arrivals will not be refunded. We offer seasickness medicine before boarding; if you choose not to take it and are unable to dive due to seasickness, no refund will be issued. Refunds will also not be given for personal decisions to stop diving.
