Sail Rock

Sail Rock
Sail Rock is a large granite pinnacle which is situated mid distance between the islands of Koh Tao and Koh Pha-ngan. The pinnacle emerges 12m above the water surface and goes down to around 28m in places. The main topographical feature is 'The Chimney'; a spacious vertical swim-through with entrances / exits at 6m, 12m and 18m. Often spotted here are large schools of Barracuda, Mackerel, Big-eye Trevally and Batfish. You can see as many Whale Sharks here as at the Chumpon Pinnacle site.
One advantage Sail Rock has over Chumpon is the longer dive times. From the shallows up to 10m, or even at 5m toward the end of the dive you will still see plenty of marine life.
Ideal for levels of diving.

Clown fish

Chumpon Pinnacles
When first entering the water you are greeted with a school of Bat Fish. The pinnacle starts at around 15m down and reaches a depth beyond 30m. This is your best bet to see larger marine life, especially Grey Reef sharks and very large Potato Cod. Grouper and Bull sharks are also sighted regularly here. Chumpon, along with Sail Rock, is the most likely place to see a Whale Shark during your stay. At your 5m surface interval you can explore the pinnacle to see Clown Fish hiding in Anemones.

Batfish

National Marine Park
There is an incredible variety of marine life within the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
The National Marine Park is generally shallower than the top dive sites off Koh Pha-ngan. Barracuda are often seen here as are plenty of Angel fish and Butterfly fish amongst the coral. Porcupine Puffer fish, Morays and Blue Spotted Stingrays are regularly found among the rocks and Banded Sea Snakes also make the dive sites of the marine park their home. Ideal for levels of diving.

Koh Ma

Koh Ma / Mae Haad
These dive sites are just down the road from The Dive Inn shop in Chaloklum (Northern Koh Pha-ngan). A classic beach dive ideal for all divers with an abundance of sea life and coral.
This dive site is perfect for training at 6m with a sandy bottom in one area. Being a shallow site you can have a longer dive time looking at the marine life passing you by! Great site for all divers.
