This photo taken at Mae Haad/Koh Ma reef shows a Gold-Speckled (Ctenogobiops Pomastictus) guards the entrance to the burrow it shares with the Pistol (Alpheid) Shrimp in the foreground.

In a perfect example of symbiosis, the Goby uses its sharp eyesight to warn the almost blind Shrimp of approaching danger. In return, the Shrimp tirelessly maintains the burrow by removing continuously moving sand and debris.
